I want a pet

I want a pet. I want a pet to come home to, that I can take care of, that will love me. I am thinking a cat or a small dog. But I don't know if it is fair to the animal with how much I work and never home. I don't know what to do. Even a small bird would be ok. I have gotten into gardening (potted plants because I have no yard) because I need something to take care of.

You should get a pet! They know what unconditional love is and have tons of it to share with you. But get a low maintainence animal (like a cat or hamster or something...I've always wanted a sugarglider). I made the mistake of getting a dog- he was a good boy- but he was constantly in his kennel while I was at work for 12 hours a day. I felt so terrible. At least with my cats, they know how to not overeat when I leave the food out and I can go on week long vacations and they'll be fine as long as they have a clean litter box and enough water to last for that long. And nothing calms you like petting a kitty!

I don't think you should get a pet. Just another finacial blood sucker. Also you don't have time for one. Oh yeah I linked your blog to mine.

I tend to agree with the cat idea. They really don't need that much but can still be very cuddly when they want to be. Our dog is wonderful, but he needs company.

I am excited for this site! I keep checking your myspace, but no new stuff!

I can tell you I grew up with dogs and after growing up with them and now owning cats I do like dogs better overall, BUT if you are looking for a pet that can care for itself and be alone alot longer you would want to go with a cat.

But another person posted a good point. If you are having financial issues, you may not want a pet at all. You have to get food, litter, litter bags, vet bills, etc.

Think carefully before you decide!
